What is the appropriate dose of Vytorin for patients with primary hypercholesterolaemia?
In patients with primary hypercholesterolaemia or mixed hyperlipidaemia, Vytorin can be administered within the range of 10/10 mg/day to 10/80 mg/day. The usual starting dose is 10/10 mg/day to 10/40 mg/day. The dosage should be individualised according to the baseline LDL-C level, the recommended goal of therapy, and the patient’s response.
