Are Cannonball saxophones any good?
Cannonballs are great saxes FOR THE MONEY, but they are not yet on the same level as the Big Four. I’ve played all the new horns by Selmer, Keilwerth, Yamaha & Yanigisawa and IMHO the Cannonballs are very good but not in the same league.
How much does a decent saxophone cost?
Beginner saxophones usually range in cost from $800 to $2,700. Intermediate, or step-up saxophones usually range in cost $2,000 to $3,000 and entry level pro saxophones (still largely played by advanced students) around $3,000 and up.
Why choose Cannonball® saxophones?
In addition to their striking beauty, the semi-precious stones adorning Cannonball ® saxophones are patented for the tonal characteristics they add to the saxophone. The High F # key extends the saxophone’s range and makes high passages easier to play.
What makes the Cannonball® unique?
The Cannonball ® hand-hammering process, which follows annealing, hardens the brass and gives our instruments superior ring and resonance. Our Italian Pisoni water-resistant leather pads have been specifically chosen for long life, excellent sealing, and the superior feel they add to the key action.
