What is Contalax?
Contalax Syrup is an oral laxative stool softener, containing Milk of magnesia and Liquid Paraffin, that provides immediate chronic constipation relief. Milk of magnesia is osmotic-type laxative, helps to cause movement of the intestine, whiles Liquid Paraffin lubricates bowel and soften the stool.

You can stand with one leg up on a chair or lie on your side with one leg straight and the other bent in toward your stomach. Gently spread your buttocks open. Carefully push the suppository, tapered end first, about 1 inch into your bottom. Close your legs and sit or lie still for about 15 minutes to let it dissolve.
Who should not take bisacodyl?
Avoid using in patients with gastroenteritis. Do not chew the tablet; swallow whole. Not for use within 1 hour of taking antacid or milk. Not recommended for children under 6 years because of the requirement to swallow tablets.
How long does it take bisacodyl suppositories to work?
The suppositories take 10 to 45 minutes to work, so it’s best to stay close to a toilet after you’ve used them. The most common side effects are feeling sick (nausea), diarrhoea, stomach pain or cramps. Only give bisacodyl to children and young people if a doctor or pharmacist recommends it.

You can take it with or without food. Swallow the tablet whole with water. Do not take them with milk.
