Umbrellas are used in NYC. I did find that on the New Jersey Shore, high winds can render umbrellas useless in a storm. Rather than trying to get a long object under your seat and adjoining ones, I would place it on the floor directly in front of you after people are finished walking in.

It’s definitely one of our favorite indoor NYC activities. We’ve also climbed at: GP81, a small but fun training gym started by climbers. All the really good climbers go here. Metrorock in BK was also a lot of fun. The grading was way tougher than any of the gyms in the area.
