As the name suggests, these are markers made of water-based ink that can be diluted with more water to recreate the appearance and texture of watercolor paint. These markers are buildable and blendable both with other markers and with water and a brush.
Should you store markers vertically or horizontally?
First and foremost, pens like fountain pens, gel pens, rollerball pens, and fine liners should always be store horizontally. This makes it so the ink doesn’t flow away from the tip of the pen. This also prevents them from getting dirty when they’re stored upright OR from ink clogs when stored upside down.
What is the best way to store watercolor pens?
Dual brush pens can be stored horizontally or vertically. Alcohol-based markers need to be stored horizontally. Smooth paper preserves your pen’s tip from fraying. Hard-tipped pens are better for beginners.
Are Arteza pens any good?
I absolutely loved and still love using the Arteza Brush Pens. It is important to remember that they are not directly watercolor paint but water based ink, that means that the pigment once dry is more permanent. However, this lends the medium well to layering, in fact I was able to layer the brush pens with ease.

How can I make my Sharpie sharp again?
Simply pour a bit of alcohol into a small container or the pen cap and soak the tip of the Sharpie in the liquid. Leave the pen in the alcohol for at least 30 seconds. This should dissolve enough ink to get it flowing again.
