What Virtex-6?
Xilinx Virtex®-6 FPGA Connectivity Kit is a development platform using the Virtex-6 family for high-bandwidth and high-performance applications in multiple market segments. FPGAs are semiconductor devices that are based around a matrix of configurable logic blocks (CLBs) connected via programmable interconnects.
What is Virtex UltraScale?
Virtex® UltraScale™ devices provide the greatest performance and integration at 20nm, including serial I/O bandwidth and logic capacity. As the industry’s only high-end FPGA at the 20nm process node, this family is ideal for applications ranging from 400G networking to large scale ASIC prototyping and emulation.
How many flip flops are in CLB?
Four such 6-input LUTs and their eight flip-flops as well as multiplexers and arithmetic carry logic form a slice, and two slices form a CLB. Four flip-flops per slice (one per LUT) can optionally be configured as latches.
What is the size of LUT present in Virtex-6 FPGA?
The look-up tables (LUTs) in Virtex-6 FPGAs can be configured as either 6-input LUT (64-bit ROMs) with one output, or as two 5-input LUTs (32-bit ROMs) with separate outputs but common addresses or logic inputs.
What is CLB level?
The Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB) describe 12 levels of ability in each of four different language skills – Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing. The CLB are used in Canada to describe the language ability of people who are learning English.
What is FPGA FF?
FPGA Architecture Flip-Flop (FF): This register element stores the result of the LUT. Wires: These elements connect elements to one another, both Logic and clock. Input/Output (I/O) pads: These physically available ports get signals in and out of the FPGA.
Does Vivado support Virtex-7?
The devices that are supported in the Vivado tool are Virtex-7, Kintex-7, Artix-7, and Zynq-7000.
Can you use Vivado for Spartan 6?
No, the Spartan 6 series isn’t supported in Vivado.
What is a LUT FPGA?
The LUT in an FPGA holds a custom truth table, which is loaded when the chip is powered up. Think of the LUT as a small scratchpad RAM. The LUT inputs act as the address lines for a corresponding one-bit-wide RAM cell.
