Can you camp anywhere at Wilsons Prom?
There is no free camping at any time in or near Wilsons Prom. The closest legal free-camp is at Franklin River Reserve, near Toora (about 30-35 min drive to the entrance of Wilsons Prom, or 60 min to Tidal River in the centre of Wilsons Prom). No fires are permitted in Wilsons Prom at any time.
Can you drink the water at Tidal River campground?
The main visitor facilities are located at Tidal River. Please exit the park before sunset. Campground facilities include amenity blocks, a playground, picnic areas with tables and free gas barbecues. Fresh drinking water is available.

It is a park on the south coast of Victoria, so it can get extremely cold there depending on the weather. However, there are still plenty of people who visit the park over winter. Just be prepared for windy conditions, and cold weather especially if you intend on sleeping in a tent.
