How do I refill my PRESTO card?
There are several ways to load your PRESTO card or check your balance:
- Through the PRESTO App.
- Online.
- Through our Chat feature (you must have set up a Saved Payment Method to load your card through Chat)
- In person at a Customer Service Outlet.
- At a Self-Serve Reload Machine.
How do I reset my Presto pin?
Please enter your username or email address below and click ‘recover password’. This will send a password reset link the email address attached to that account.
Can I load my PRESTO card on my phone?
The function was previously available to Android users, but has now been rolled out to iPhones as well. Customers can also reload their Presto cards in the app using Google Wallet and Apple Pay.
Do I need to activate my PRESTO card?
If you ordered your card online and created an account at the same time, it must be activated before it can be used. You can activate your card online, or through our Chat feature, or by calling PRESTO at 1-877-378-6123 and following the automated instructions. It can take up to 24 hours to process your activation.
Can you reload PRESTO online?
Sign into My PRESTO Sign in to check your balance, load your card, see your card activity and much more! You can use either your username or email address to sign in. Signing in without an account only lets you check your balance and access limited features.
Where can I add money to my PRESTO card?

You can use your PRESTO card immediately, and your card can be added to a My PRESTO Account within 24 hours. Never buy a card or try to load funds or passes through an unauthorized seller.

The funds or pass are available immediately because the transaction is added directly onto the chip on your card. When adding funds or a pass online, there is a delay because the transaction is added to the PRESTO central system and must be downloaded to each PRESTO device across the network.

Yes. PRESTO cards can be shared, however, can only be used by one person at a time. Two people cannot travel at the same time using one PRESTO card as the Fare Payment Device will only deduct one fare per ride on GO Transit.

The date on the back of the card is the date the card was manufactured. Some older cards have an expiry date, but PRESTO cards no longer expire. You may continue to use your card even after the indicated expiry date and your balance will remain on the card.
