Do universities email you before results day?
As universities are shown your A-level results they will start updating your Track to show whether or not you have been accepted onto the course you applied for. This will start happening from around 8am today. It’s unlikely that universities will email you directly with an offer.
Is conditional offer good?
Either a conditional or unconditional offer is good news. A conditional offer means you still need to meet the requirements – usually exam results. An unconditional offer means you’ve got a place, although there might still be a few things to arrange.

Will Unis still accept lower grades?
Most universities that have course vacancies during Clearing will be prepared to accept you if your grades are below their entry requirements as long as you sound passionate and are right for the degree subject. They may also accept you based on the UCAS points you’ve accumulated rather than you final grades.
Can you use the same reference twice UCAS?
Only one reference is required on the UCAS Undergraduate application. If you want your uni or college to see more than one, you’ll need to contact them and ask if an additional reference can be sent directly.
Can you pull out of a conditional offer?
Can I ‘back out’ of a conditional purchase agreement? An offer to buy can be unconditional — that means once you sign it you are legally bound to purchase the property on the agreed date at the agreed price, no matter what. You should never enter into such an agreement without taking legal advice.
How many conditional offers can I accept?
Can I reply to more than two offers? You can accept a maximum of two choices – one firm and one insurance. You can only have an insurance choice if your firm choice is a conditional offer.
Can a university change their conditional offer?
You will need to contact UCAS. They will probably tell you that you need to notify your choices. After you have done this, the uni is able to change their offer if they wish – they can even change a previously conditional offer into a rejection.
