Can I wear jeans to Canlis?

I can go to just about any restaurant in the city in jeans EXCEPT Canlis. It’s “dressy”, that’s part of the atmosphere and ambience, since 1950. They have a very clear dress code, and to my knowledge require, at the minimum, a coat for men. My husband always wears a coat + tie when dining there.

Awesome. Canlis offers truly excellent food worthy of a Michelin starred restaurant. The courses are varied with the pork dish and cucumber granita dessert particularly tasty. The service is good and the ambience is elegant.

Let me precursor this review with a couple of things. 1. I’m a snobby foodie from Chicago with extremely high standards. 2. The lack of star is due to only one thing. the presentation of the food. Read on! 🙂 Canlis is an amazing experience. The service is next to none. The space is unique and just overall one-of-a kind.
